Considering this is from CNN I'd bet teh 'story" is VERY slanted and key facts IGNORED.
"According to Siyonbola, she was working on a paper in the Hall of Graduate Studies when she fell asleep in a common room. Another female student came in, turned on the lights and told her, "You're not supposed to be sleeping here. I'm going to call the police."
"When Siyonbola asked them about the complaint, one officer said, "She called us (and) said there's somebody who appeared they weren't ... where they were supposed to be."
"The 34-year-old grad student in African studies unlocked her dorm-room door in front of police to show that she lived there, but they still asked for her ID. "You're in a Yale building and we need to make sure that you belong here," the other officer told her. "
Odd, I don't see ANYTHING about race.
Maybe the next time a black woman calls about a rape the police should say, Sorry, we are NOT going to respond.
And if she was black, you would be making excuses for her.
Oh really? And why would I do that? It’s wrong - period.
The problem with you people is that you refuse to put right where right is and wrong where wrong is. I’m so glad I don’t live on the mainland. Our police would have set that woman straight right away - no matter what color she was.
Nope...nice try though. Typical mainlander who only sees race and nothing else. Let’s see all of those threads, especially since I barely post anymore.

Lol, now it’s mainlanders painted with broad strokes.
not talking about race or who suppose to be here or not, I dont think i could take a nap in a public common area. no telling what others would do to you, your defense are completely down. maybe that could be the angle. Not race, but just sleeping, anybody just sleeping in the common area.

Not sure the dorm was a “public” common area at 1:30a.m. My understanding is that access is limited after a certain time.
But I agree about no telling what other would do to you though. Here we see it.
