Only a fool would believe NK is actually having a "come to Jesus" moment and now wants give up their nukes and become a "normal" country.
They're playing the same old game of freaking out the world, then suddenly doing a 180 and gathering up concessions from their suddenly relieved and hopeful adversaries.
NK knows they are weak and don't stand a chance in an all-out war... but they also know that nobody wants to actually take them out because there is little to gain and the costs would be high to do so.

It is the perfect move, and shows Kim we are serious if he doesn't make a deal to get rid of nukes. We have almost all the cards in this Poker game, and he knows it. Trump won't cave, and kick the can down the road like all the others. You sound like another appeaser.

we've been conducting these scheduled exercises since the 70's. Kim has threatened us with a nuclear war within the past 6 months, might be time for you to hide under the bed.
Maybe he doesn't know Gadaffi got rid of his nuclear program and was killed some years later. What Trump is unwittingly telling NK is "get rid of your nukes, so we can kill you later".
Gaddafi was hated by many Libyans. There's no need to become an apologist. My dad was there back in 1999 and he told me that lots of people wanted him gone.
We killed him because he was a threat (no matter how small) to the U.S. dollar being the petrodollar. It had nothing to do with nuclear weapons.
