"You have to stand proudly for the national anthem, or you shouldn’t be playing, you shouldn’t be there. Maybe you shouldn’t be in the country," Trump said

Not sure why Trump is bothering with this topic.

They need to be tattooed first. Make all anthem kneelers wear some type of identifying symbol on their clothing so they are easy to spot. You can't just go straight to deportations and showers.

He's trolling the libs and it works every time. Remember all Obama's lectures to the right? This is the same thing, except on Twitter. And when we'd complain you folks would tell us elections have consequences.

Can you stay in the country if you have to be reminded to pledge or you don't know/remember the words of the anthem?

Are the food concessions going to stop selling food, nobody allowed to go to the bathroom during this time?

Why not require everyone listening/watching the game at home to stand as well?

Trump doesn't know that.

UGH I knew Trump was going to be attacked the moment I heard him say this.

What he is doing is questioning the players patriotism. If the player wants to disrespect the flag then maybe he shouldn't be here. There are not many countries in the world that would pay someone millions of dollars to play a game.
I guess Trump thinks these guys should be a bit more grateful ?

Trump should stay out of commenting on the NFL and their rules but he was doing so as a guy not as the President.

I think he should be bringing more attention to the illegal aliens that seek sanctuary here in the US but on the weekends they fly the flag of their home country, the very one that was oppressing them? Weird.

That's what it's really starting to feel like. What was that saying...when fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross?

It's his opinion as a private person and has no bearing on the NFL.
