Giuliani loves, loves, loves, loves the Yankees and Yankee Stadium.
He’s been a fixture at the games forever.
Used to take his boy until the kid stopped talking to him.
He’s gotten standing ovations at Yankee Stadium (9/11, something, 9/11).
May be a non-story to a non-New Yorker, although apparently not a non-enough story for you to have ignored this thread, but it’s a big deal for a native NYC’er.
It’s the big city version of shunning.
He may shrug it off, but it hurt. It absolutely did.
.. Meh. Didn't hurt Trump, and that's what it was about. He's still president.
New York is a fine place. I loved going there back when I was working. But they don't get to pick the US President.
I grew up on the Island. It has always been a GOP stronghold. However since Grimm it may be turning purple.
mcMahon was best rep the rock has in 30 years, so of course they voted in the Grimminal instead. Can't believe he's actually in the running again.....goes to show the true nature of the Island...
Yes you would have, and your side would have made all kinds of ugly comments. Don't try to be choir boys now.
We do not forget all the terrible, low class comments you guys made about Obama and Michelle, even calling him gay and her a transvestite. You have short memories, we do not.
Why post lies here?
I dont boo people because they believe in different ideas than I do. In fact, I dont boo people, period. That is not my way. If I dont like someone, I will not cheer them on their birthday, but I will not boo them either. As I said, it’s a low class thing to do.
Please dont assume you and I are on the same level.
I didnt make low class comments about Obama either. Worst I did was disagree with his policies.

Reason: Personal attack
The inaugural Sunday games of the 2016 – 2017 NFL season, which were being played on the 15th anniversary of 9/11, were opened with a prerecorded 9/11 remembrance address from President Obama, which as expected, wasn’t well-received by all fans.
According to numerous fans at NFL stadiums around the league, the president was booed heavily during his video tribute.
and
An Oregon basketball crowd greeted Barack Obama and the first family with boos last night as they watched Oregon State take on the University of Maryland.
And we all KNOW republicans are above booing women.....
First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, Vice President Joe Biden's wife, were booed by some NASCAR fans as they served as the grand marshals for the racing circuit's final event Sunday.
Feel better now?

I distinctly recall Obama being booed any number of times. It's a matter of public record, YouTube clips and all.
A part of me wishes republicans treated democrats the same way that they treat republicans, but that wont happen. Most republicans are above that type of behavior.
and now, after unflattering video of republicans doing the same thing, you say

So my question to both of you is, do you feel the same?
Or is only the booing from the opposite side disturbing to you?

That was some fast gear changing.
Is it really a big deal that I didnt remember republicans booing at a wrestling match or a baseball game? I probably didnt even know about it in the first place. And 5 years from now I wont remember Giuliani being bood either.
All that proves is that both sides have their share of idiots. But you will notice I didnt get an answer to my question.

Why would America need approval from New York?
I can just picture the right-wing trying to spin this:
Those are not boos, they are saying, "Ru...... Ru.... Ru.....!!" As in "Rudy!!"
That reminds me of that Simpsons episode when Smithers says to Mr. Burns
"No sir, they aren't saying 'Boo!' they are saying 'Boo-urns!' "
I've been to Yankee games when Giuliani was there. He was generally cheered from what I recall. This was mainly because of 9/11 and he was out of office shortly thereafter so he didn't have time to tarnish that reputation.
I think NY is probably a bit let down that he is fumbling excuses for Trump now. So, he gets booed. Yankee fans boo everything though.
