There is no evidence that Ivanka Trump’s contact with the athlete — the former Olympic weightlifter Dmitry Klokov — was illegal or that it had anything to do with the election. Nor is it clear that Klokov could even have introduced Trump to the Russian president.
Except, there is more to the story:
Quote:
In one of those emails, Klokov told Cohen that he could arrange a meeting between Donald Trump and Putin to help pave the way for the tower. Later, Cohen sent an email refusing that offer and saying that the Trump Organization already had an agreement in place. He said he was cutting off future communication with Klokov. Copying Ivanka Trump, the Russian responded in a final brusque message, in which he questioned Cohen’s authority to make decisions for the Trump Organization. Frustrated by the exchange, Ivanka Trump questioned Cohen’s refusal to continue communicating with Klokov, according to one of the sources.
Why would a meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin be illegal?? Celebrities and heads of state meet up all the time. Politicians from different countries meet up all the time. There are no rules against meeting a foreign head of state. It actually would make a ton of sense for anyone running for President of the United States to meet with Putin, Queen Elizabeth and any other foreign leader they can manage to.
The whole Russian Conspiracy Theory is looking more and more like "Mitt Romney's a Mexican!" and that sort of crap. The tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorists have gotten so desperate for the Russian Collusion thing to be real, they're pretending that if Trump and Putin were ever in the same 100 mile radius, then it's a treasonous capital crime.

You do realize that what you have there is as incriminating as birthers like Trump pointing to Obama's difficulty providing a Hawaiian birth certificate, right? It's a whole lot like Michael Moore insisting that George W Bush fired a missile at the Pentagon and that he was the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks, right? It's a whole lot like folks insisting that Barack Obama has been a secret Muslim all his life, right?
Why is it so difficult for people to see when they're being ridiculous due to their own political bias?
Oh look, the little kitties found another laser dot to chase.
