I've never heard of the guy either. But I can tell you that as the daughter of a career US Army officer, that fruit loop is no hero of mine.

Back in the early part of our history I can't recall his name but I believed he cursed our country only to be exiled for life aboard a U.S.naval vessel.(what better hell for a Army guy!).
