It would have been better to have installed a puppet government in Libya until a more democratic and less traditional Islamic government could be ushered into place.
Currently, with all the factional fighting, tribal discord, human trafficking, and organized crime, it would be better for the international comminity to dissolve Libya as we know it today.
Libya should be brought under UN control and a special UN authorized cabinet should be put into place until an intra-national summit is held with all principle groups, tribes, and organizations present and devising some form of democratic procedure for establishing a new Libyan constitution which will center around secular cosmopolitan (multiethnic) citizenship that emphasizes egalitarianism, ecological conservation, and education.
THIS ^^^^ and there needs to be a Naval Blockade on the coast. If Nato/Europe was smart. They would enact a blockade of the coast and push back any ships that come forward with invading economic migrants.
