I can't begin to imagine the mental gymnastics on his part to claim this, but I'm even more curious about how his supporters reconcile the claim he made here
1) He thinks its a good bill but has no chance of success 2) He rather they not vote on it because it has no chance of success... it took literally, less than a second... I feel sorry for you people...
To directly quote Cheney: We make up reality as we go!
The past does not exist, facts are not true, etc. This is the modern GOP. Even when their constituents are being told that they are being lied to, it does not seem to make any difference.
To be honest, I don't think the Trump supporters care. Americans are politically apathetic in general, the majority of his supporters just want violence against brown people, and all news is "fake news" so nobody has to read anymore.
I think the rest of his supporters are just people who voted for him for whatever reason and are doing what everyone does with politicians: taking the very little good with a whole lot of bad.

Please, give me details on how the first tweet is saying he does not want House Republicans to pass it? Because to me, phrases like "HOUSE REPUBLICANS SHOULD PASS" and "PASSAGE WILL SHOW" seem to imply that he does, well, want it to pass?

Of course he wants it passed, but it will NOT pass, so what is the point? Its not that hard to understand... well, maybe for you it is...
House leaders up for re-election likely texted him in between that symbolic votes are not prudent at this time
And how exactly does that reconcile with "I never pushed the Republicans in the House to vote for the Immigration Bill"? If that happened, he could say that, or even just say he reconsidered whether or not it was prudent to go for that vote.
But to deny that he tweeted what he tweeted on June 27?
Not to mention that the vote had already occurred - so he wasn't saying they shouldn't vote, they already did. He was trying to pretend that he didn't come out in favor of something that didn't pass. And God help this country, his supporters are turning themselves into pretzels pretending his lie is the truth and the truth is a lie.
