Now where do you suppose that Trump got the list from oh informed one, did Trump and his sons get together and come up with it. Its strange to see a NY liberal progressive change to a conservative so rapidly, but Trump changes daily.
FDR was a criminal. He prolonged the Depression to the point where only a World War could get us out. He essentially traded American lives for economic recovery, and didn't bat an entitled eye.

Just means he has shown his true colors before he was elected
Some people just didn't take that seriously
ALL the people who voted for outliers in place of HRC gave Trump this opportunity to screw w/the Justice system
The Federalist Society doesn't lobby or campaign, they are a 501c3, but they sure have an impact and considerable funding. mostly right wing conservatives and libertarian supported.
I've seen a couple of those angry moonbats saying they're going to do that here on C-D. Funny stuff. If you can't win by cheating, change the rules after-the-fact. Yeah NeoLiberalism.
These people are like the playground bullies who want you to play the game and play it their way or you are outcast and ostracized.
They get their way at first but when the bullied has had enough they realize that there are others who feel the same way as they do and form an alliance and stand up to the bully.
Bully bucks and has a meltdown, but finally realizes it isn't his game any more. He has to play the game the way it's played or get out of the game.
Some learn to play nice. Some sit and sulk in the corners. Some find others to bully, until the next revolt.

Remember the embarrassing hearing a few months ago with Matthew Petersen who was selected for position on a district court. He couldn’t answer the most basic questions by John Kennedy and he was deemed unqualified by the ABA. Guess who recommended him, the Federalist Society and Trumps Attorney MCGhan. Evidently his qualifications were his expertise gained from a right wing lobbying firm.

I really worry about the future of this country when I read comments like that of Natalie469. It's as if she never learned what the governing laws of our constitutional republic are, and she is only going by what her feelings or ideological beliefs are.
Apparently, and unbeknownst to her, our scotus was fairly non political and didn't start legislating from the bench until the Warren court of the (you guessed it) the 1960's.
This was of course the decade many point to where our country started going down hill, and liberal activist judges started to usurp the role of Congress, by trying to create legislation rather than interpreting it.
She also apparently does not realize the scotus is suppose to come to their conclusions based on interpretation of the Constitutions original meaning, thus it would represent us all, even if all 9 justices were nominated by one potus.
But you can tell she is just parroting leftist talking points with the comment "Trump is under investigation, and he shouldn't be allowed to nominate anyone until the investigation is over".
Sure, wouldn't that be a dream come true of the leftists to try and stop the agenda of an elected (R) potus.
She apparently doesn't know or care that this "investigation" was started by the Democrats based on a false narrative. We a know there is not going to be a Russian collusion finding, and Mueller is just fishing around hoping to find something like a Stormy payoff to try and pin on Trump.
Such an investigation is just a way to stop a potus, by creating a poison pill to thwart a president from accomplishing anything while a contrived plot to undermine him slogged on for years.
Heck with that mentality, he shouldn't be allowed to negotiate treaties, defend our country against invasion, take military action, etc.
He should just sit in the WH and wait for the special council to investigate the false narrative until the next presidential election, right?

His op-ed today implies the nominee will be a female. That would leave ACB as the heavy favorite. She would be a welcome addition to the currently all male conservative side.

She scares me. I have no idea where she stands, even after spending over 1/2 hour watching a lecture she gave. She talked about how Scalia viewed things, vs. the way the 'liberal' judges do, without ever giving an inkling as to which direction she would head. She's also never given a hint as to her thoughts on the 2nd amendment. She did, however, call Breyer "pragmatic" in that lecture.
Just think, if Obama had not lied and bribed to get Obamacare passed there might be a Dem in office right now who picked 1-2 SCOTUS picks.
All those years of despising Obama has actually worked out for the best.
