Well in America, he has the presumption of innocence but where does the Constitution guarantee him the right to be left alone? It only gives him the right to face his accuser and defend himself in a court of law. If that makes you feel oppressed, you have the right to leave.
Or, in your world, suppose your wife came home and said she was raped by a specific man, if he claimed innocence would you argue he should be left alone or would you demand he be tried?
