Discussion among Blacks and the use of the word vary....but the one thing they all agree on and most whites -- white people don't get to use it -- it any context. It's just that way.
Why did it need to happen? Because he's white? He didn't use it to disparage blacks.
He and his marketing company thought it would be best.
There was no official cry for his resignation.
He resigned before those SJW's even could start a campaign.
That's the thing -- you can try and defend the use of the word -- but the reality -- it just doesn't look good and will always end badly if you are a public official and use it.
I don't know if he needed to resign as Chairman of the Board -- as I said -- I think that's for show. I suspect he still has the income and all that comes with it -- just not the title.
Meaning what? That they should brush racism under the rug and look the other way?
Meaning that in this case there was no racism. Your response was proof on what the poster said. People are sensitive and love making drama where none exists.

If the person is white you mean.
Did it hurt Obama?
Obama - 'Racism, we are not cured of it. And it's not just a matter of it not being polite to say ni$$#r in public.

Someone mentioned he was under the gun. If he was on thin ice just about anything he did would be reason for a called resignation. If he was doing well, this incident is water off a ducks back imo.
I'm not crying for anyone. The guy was on thin ice anyway. Plus my wife says they have ****ty pizza. I've never tried it myself. I'm just pointing out that apologizing is useless. You get fired no matter what.
As I recall, Papa John has been on thin ice before, even though he founded the company. Can't remember what the issue was, but he sort of stepped aside to avoid some other controversy .
Never cared much for him for some reason, he came across as someone I wouldn't like to know in his commercials. I think his pizzas have started to lose some customers too, they are basically cardboard with sauce on them.
I think my former landlord described it better: Spongecake with stewed tomatoes on top.

We didn't buy his pizza before this because it's garbage. We still won't be buying it because he's a disgusting pig.
