Instead of increasing salaries, many companies have shifted their focus to rolling out a raft of benefits and perks to keep employees happy. The latest data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reveals wages and salaries now account for 68.2% of total employee compensation, while 18 years ago it was 72.5%. Across the G20 nations as a whole, the labour share of income has been falling, suggesting companies are holding onto their profits rather than sharing them with the workforce."
The gist of this to me sounds to me like corporate tax cuts and trickle down theory isn't going to work, nor is it helping that we have a political party in power that seems to favor corporations at the expense of union and employee rights.
By it's inherent nature unregulated capitalism is predatory. Less government labor laws and diminishing union power and it's all about maximizing profits for the management class and shareholders and cutting labor costs to the bone. We had a brief period in American history from the end of WWII to the 1970's when we had a thriving expanding middle class. No more.

No it isn't predatory because it has no power other than to entice one to purchase a product. You are confusing it with rentiers as the likes of you always does.
If corporations "control" the government through donors and lobbyist, and they're working in THEIR best interest, not ours, what do you really expect?
At this point (not to say it wasn't an issue in the past), we have the DNC using operatives to sabotage the private sector. Sure it happens on the other side of the aisle as well.
The issue is the uneducated or ignorant who don't understand the benefit and necessity of a fair system. Too many apathetic, uninformed, lazy Americans honestly. They keep focusing on lesser issues and ignoring what we're doing to our future and quality of living.

This is ridiculous - like saying that brainwashing, rewriting history, holding back on education, pushing superstition, etc. is not "enticing" people to do certain things.
Predatory Capitalism is a LOT better (more scientific) in terms of their programming of the population....and, oh, you forgot to mention that we have a government that can be bought and sold from the bottom up. When the people who make the laws are already a "corporate product", the very idea that the marketplace is fair is about as real as our justice system being just (Manafort and his private bathroom suite in jail)...
