Republican Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota came up with a reason why Trump said what he did

“The president just looked right back at [Putin] and with the same straight face... basically sent a message: ’If you can sit here and tell me that with a straight face and that’s what it takes it to move forward in other negotiations, I most certainly can match you on this, and in fact I can stand here and say, ‘Of course you didn’t do it,’ even though we all know that [you did],’” “The reality is, ‘I know you did it, you know you did it, and you know that I know that you did it.’ So to me, Mr. Putin tried to tell the whopper with a straight face and President Trump basically laid out, ‘You wanna play that game? Fine. I can do the same thing because we all know you did.’”

The senator then said “I can’t come up with another [reason]― we’re all trying to find a reason why the president would have done it. And this is the only logical explanation I can come up with it,”

It makes so much sense now.

How do we even know that Putin is involved? Russia is a big country with millions of people. Could there be a group there that is working behind the scenes on their own that is trying to influence elections round the world?

Obama told us he had no idea that Hillary had her own private server despite sending her emails there....

Plus there are groups in America that are actively trying to undermine our own Government and influence elections and some of these groups are not known to Trump.

I'm just saying how can we hold Putin responsible for something he might not have had any control over?

Trump is our President but he has no influence over the DNC and their back door shenanigans to rig the election.

I think Trump put his foot in his mouth as he often does and the media and Dems are hammering on it as they always do.

.

Or, maybe Trump supporters are just making lame excuses for Trump not having the cojones to confront Putin face to face, he's much tougher hiding behind his Twitter keyboard. But go ahead, support him for throwing his own administration's intelligence community under the bus.

Name one, just ONE President in the few decades that hasn't frequently lied through his teeth, stretched the facts or spun, spun, spun to benefit THEIR agenda OR just said some plain stupid stuff?

C'mon, I dare anyone to attempt it...

I've got a better theory...

President Trump's ego is so fragile, that he refuses to believe that collusion had anything to do with the election outcome. He badly wants/needs to believe that he got elected because his public worship the ground he walks on.

Russian interference, to him, cannot be fathomable because it means there is a possibility that he wasn't the best candidate.
