I guess this is the next phase of the Kushner peace plan, now that they have declared the new capital of Israel this should have been the easy part.

Quote:
JERUSALEM — Israeli warplanes launched a large-scale attack across the Gaza Strip on Friday, one of the fiercest in years, after a Palestinian sniper killed an Israeli soldier along the border fence during a day of escalating hostilities.
Successive explosions rocked Gaza City at nightfall and the streets emptied as warplanes struck dozens of sites that Israel said belonged to the military wing of Hamas, the Islamist group that controls Gaza.
Israeli security experts said the aerial assault was one of the most intense since a cease-fire ended 50 days of fighting in the territory in 2014. The ferocity of the bombings raised fears that the hostilities could spiral into a war, though analysts said neither side seemed eager to have an all-out conflict.

Absolutely shocking!!!!

I don't think ever in the history of Israel have they retaliated when Hamas attacked them and killed Israelis.

Hamas has already begged for a "ceasefire".

That's why we need to give the IDF some bases in Texas!

Not a huge fan of Israel but they have a right to defend themselves. If they go overboard and pound the hell out of their enemy? That's what Israel always does. How stupid is it to keep attacking them and expecting a different outcome?
Then again, it isn't as if Hamas cares about the people dying, and they always make sure their leadership won't be in the affected area.

Sure one soldier killed and they call out the war plane, so where is the peace plan we were promised.

Are you saying you disagree with self defense?

The Israelis are the invaders, steadily encroaching on Palestinians' land. Are you saying you disagree with Palestinian self defense?

Sigh.
To Israel an attack on 1 soldier, 1 citizen is the same as attacking the nation. This isn't a new policy, this has been their policy at least as far back as the attack on their athletes at the Munich Olympics. It really is simple. If Hamas doesn't want this level of retaliation then don't attack Israeli citizens.

Where is the peace plan? I dont know nor do I care. When is Hamas and the Palestinians going to stop doing stupid attacks, knowing what will follow?
If I had my way we would get out of that region and let them settle it themselves.

I don't blame Kushner for trying. Trouble is, everybody and their dog has tried, it's so discouraging.

israel has a simple approach to war;

if you attack us, we will respond with force

they also agree with general lemay, its the nature of war, if you kill enough of them they will stop fighting.

israel is defending themselves, and every time hamas attacks israel they get a tiger by the tail. so far that tiger hasnt done more than just swat at the tail grabber, but at some point the tiger is going to get annoyed enough, and will turn hard on the tail grabber, and show no mercy.
