Seriously, they have the most power in the country, shouldn't politicians beyond every other job be required to do say, weekly drug tests? I would be around 90% of our politicians are regular users of crack, heroin, or meth.

I would guess the general population of Americans, especiallly the lower class has a higher % of drug users than politicians. But yeah let's have drug tests for politicians and remove them from office if they test positive. Let's also drug test welfare/food stamp recipients. Let's regularly drug test everyone and destroy their lives if they test positive. Unless we crack down on drugs the drug problem will keep getting worse.

You are on track, I don't think its the hard stuff we really need to worry about though, more like Alzheimer’s drugs as this story outlines.

“At first it’s cool, and then you realize, I’m filling some drugs that are for some pretty serious health problems as well. And these are the people that are running the country,” Kim told STAT. “It makes you kind of sit back and say, ‘Wow, they’re making the highest laws of the land and they might not even remember what happened yesterday.’”

If I don`t like my congressman/woman I vote against them and what they do on their personal time is none of my business. If they`re really whacked out it would be noticeable. Ill bet some of them actually drink alcohol at the end of their day.

Any politician with THC in their system who has voted or spoke out against legal marijuana should be forcibly removed from office with a new election held for different candidates.

And that goes for corporate welfare as well, right? When will the farmers who are receiving welfare to offset Trump's idiocy be tested?

Im not sure about that, having a drug habit is NOT cheap at all, heroin and cocaine are more expensive than gold by the gram!

They will never crack down on the flow of drugs into the country, they rely on a steady flow so they can continually justify the drug war, if the supply stops, law enforcement seizures dry up, drug arrests dry up, less convictions, less cells being occupied, etc.
