31-year-old Blevins was intoxicated and shooting a gun. The cops are called in and they arrive on the scene. Cops demand Blevins put his weapon down. They chase him. They continue to demand the weapon be put down. While being chased, Blevins points the weapon towards the officers and...
So now we have the latest supposed black male victim of police "genocide" according to Minneapolis protestors. Do the protestors really believe their nonsense or do they think that an armed intoxicated man running away from the police who later points his weapon towards the police, means that Blevins should not have been shot; should not have been chased? Alternatively, are the protestors ignorant to the facts of the case? (There is a video.) What exactly do protestors want from the police? This is an impossible situation for cops. Then BLM protestors disrupt and coopt the news conference from the local sheriff. No one bats an eye.
Those whom the gods would destroy they first make mad. We are mad.
black, white, green with polka dots, it doesnt matter. mr belvins brought this on himself by shooting off a gun while intoxicated, and then pointing that gun at police officers. given that he was intoxicated, and his propensity to shoot that firearm, the cops did the only thing they could, stop the man from shooting them.
The should just de-police black neighborhoods, if that is what black people want. More resources for law-abiding communities who appreciate it. They mostly kill their own, and while is a shame that decent, hard-working black folk get gunned down, a vast majority of even those decent, hard-working black people also buy into the crap about police brutality, and run to check the "D" box in the next elections.
De-police, let things get bad, and make them ask to have the police back.
It didn’t help when some witnesses claimed he was NOT armed which created the social media frenzy and triggered every TDS deranged liberal for miles around. And then then the police video showed very clearly that he was armed.
I have no idea why anyone would want to work as a police officer in these neighborhoods.

Sort of like those claims (later debunked) of the Gentle Giant having his hands up in the air, begging for his life?

Absolutely. Protesting in favor of the shooting victim only delegitimizes the complaints from people who were wrongfully shot by the police.
If a cop tells you to stop, stop. Dont ever point a weapon at a police officer. Don't be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and then disobey the orders of LE.
Half of these protests against LE are because unruly and potentially violent offenders give the police no other choice than to eliminate the threat they are faced with.

That would not be fair to the law abiding folks that live there.
I agree, the knee jerk vote for whatever "D" is presented is a self inflicted wound very often, but anarchy isnt an answer either. The loud activist types would simply shift blame on the lack of police (and rightfully so).
I have read copious accounts over the years of good people in those neighborhoods (in many American cities) begging for more police presence at town hall meetings with local aldermen/city council folks. BLM types dont represent everybody there.
