Your "good guy" OJ is a killer, Manafort might be guilty of tax evasion, big big big difference. Manafort is no "bad guy", he's a guy out to make a living for his family. Mule-Ear knew about the alleged tax evasion for over 10 years and did nothing until he could attempt to use Manafort against Trump because Trump fired his best friend (Comey the liar)....hence, you have your political prisoner.
About that tax evasion, this is on foreign earned income in which we are one of the rare countries that taxes foreign earned income....I've worked many years in countries in the Middle East alongside Brits, Aussies, Italians, French, etc. that paid no income tax because their nations don't charge foreign earned income tax while I paid up to $100K/yr to Uncle Same while not being in the nation or using the services for those taxes.
LOL What does paying $25,000 for a suit have to do with making a living for his family. I would say he made quite a living for himself by breaking laws. And yes he is a bad guy. That's why he's going to jail for a very long time. It's disgusting how any American can defend him.

4 counts of tax fraud years 2010-2014
2 counts of bank fraud 2015-2017
Failure to file report of foreign bank 2012
Top 5 of democratic tax cheats
From Geithner to Al Sharpton Etc and non of them got prison time!
This is a political with hunt. Either all get prison time or not.
There is ZERO doubt in my mind that President Trump will pardon Manafort and Cohen if necessary.
This is why he will M.A.G.A . . . which stands for "MAKE AMERICA GANGSTA' AGAIN!"

Manafort was found guilty of 8 out of 18 charges, and still faces another trial or two.
So Trump has some problems with pardoning him. If he moves too fast, Manafort could still go to trial on the other charges, because a pardon wouldn't pre-exempt him in them. So, facing even more prison time, Manafort could roll over at last before he goes into the second trial.
A President can, and has, preemptively pardon someone. President Ford preemptively pardoned Nixon for ANY CRIMES he may have committed while in office, he didn't have to wait until Nixon was actually tried and found guilty of anything.
