The job market is such that my department has lost two key players, and some less purposeful individuals, over the past few months to the now supercharged and demanding free market.
Personally, having just received a 6% raise from my employer a few months ago, I am now being promoted into a leadership position, like it or not.
Of course, with the new position comes another pay increase.
It's like going fishing and someone upstream keeps dropping bigger and bigger fish in the water.
Am I tired yet?
Not hardly.
I've been waiting for this all my working life.

Trump has furthered the status quo: we’re still cattle, we’re still subject to the same jobs and wages, and education is still under-funded. The icing on the cake is that the CPI is both outpacing inflation and wage growth under Trump......
I'm a Dem who would never vote for Trump, but he's right. It's awfully, awfully difficult to extract votes from people you pillage and blame for everyone else's problems. I would hope at this point that the party realizes that its old math in which minorities would carry the party to win after win was a pipe dream, but I doubt it.
What nonsense. The Democrat party was destroyed by the policies of Obama. They didn't just lose the Presidency, they lost everything.
And as long as the remaining Democrats continue to call large parts of America "deplorable", stupid and racist, instead of figuring out why they did lose America, then that is where they remain. Their disgust of working America, as demonstrated by the post you responded to, is self evident.
