I voted for "lefy" because they are who we hear from day in and day out as they pound away at Trump, his policies and attempts at trying to MAGA.



There are many developed successful countries that lean more to the Left than the US does to the point of socialism with its ups and downs and there are others that are struggling.



I say that America was founded and made great by the principals that are more closely related to the Right and it is now the Left that is making apologies for and trying to point out the negatives of capitalism etc..
Right leaning thinking is under attack by the far Left and if they should get their way I think America will be in for a rough ride.

Right now we seem to be split between 2 extreme camps and the Left is making the most noise so they are getting the attention.

America’s left is essentially center-right, on the global scale. I think you’re onto something when you discuss Americans foundational principles. The one that springs to mind is white supremacy America was literally built on the foundation of white supremacy. The Constitution itself, a compromise to appease slavers. It is that white supremacy that kept America for moving left, and stop with the rest of the developed world…the reluctance to share of the abundance with people of color. It’s no coincidence that the only developed nation that sits to the right of the United States is Israel; an apartheid state.

26% of eligible voters voted for trump.

27% of eligible voters voted for Hillary.

more eligible US voters are apathetic about politics than Left, right, or centrist.

At one time, I would have confidently offered an answer to this question, but I no longer trust what I thought I knew about America since Donald Trump's election.
