Look at all the people in the background causally excusing the butcher of children and the illegal destruction of Beirut. They don't have any ideas about their own country's terrorist actions.
Most Americans are brainwashed with hyper nationalism.
Add this to:
1. General unhappiness - always causes violence.
2. Plenty of money in it - more than most people can imagine.
3. Authoritarianism - in the case of the US, most pro-war is RWA (Right Wing Authoritarianism) - in which case coercion is a know part of the equation.
4. A social order with a LARGE underclass - with the military creating one of the only ways to get OUT....heck, the bonuses they were giving high schoolers with criminal records during Iraq were a bigger chunk of change than many of those folks would have EVER seen in their entire lives (in terms of actual spendable income in a single mass).
In other words, we don't have prosperity or happiness of the people as per the constitution and so killing others at least brings some pleasures.
Interesting. I work for a defense contractor and don't know anyone who is pro-war. This holds true for my non-work acquaintances as well. You must hang around some seriously disturbed people if you think most Americans are pro-war.
Bingo. War is our default position. Americans LOVE war, and they love having an enemy.
Agree 100%.

We weren’t like this before the Cold War. We damn sure are that way now.
What are you talking about? The U.S. has been at war for 90% of its existence.
The American Empire got kicked into high gear with the false-flag/media-created Spanish-American War. Ever hear of "Remember the Maine?" It was "Never Forget--9/11" before it was cool.

They sure as hell support it.
You tell people about destroying Lebanon and at best they'd shrug their shoulders and say we're killing terrorists.
Americans don't want to spend a second of their time thinking about why we're at war and instead assume we have to do it and we're doing it for moral reasons. Can they take 20 minutes out of their day to learn about private militias, terrorist organization, etc. we support.
Or even who the Houthis are we're butchering? Or is that too much to ask?
