They only way I see this guy getting such a light sentence is he has giveb enough info on Trump that in the 60 days they will be filing many charges on Trump that could get him a 30 year sentence.

Usually the sentencing happens after they have been used to nail someone and then a lean or no sentence granted.

It's quite clear, at this point, that Cohen had nothing to offer that was of any particular value to the prosecution. He was sentenced straight up in accordance with the guidelines, which implies that all the breathless anticipation surrounding any testimony concerning Trump was mere feverish delirium.

Prosecutors to Cohen: "You got nothin', pal. Thanks for wasting our time. See ya in three years."

Maybe he will turn around and give them the information they want now, after thinking about 3 years in jail.

He chose to corporate fully with Mueller.. so he is getting a lesser sentencing there.

How can someone withhold information, unless that information has already been gathered?
Smocking gun....

When Comey does it, he doesn't remember, cannot recall.....

Cohen is getting the SDNY book thrown at him, not the Mueller book.

And he won't be the last one.

He got off light. Hopefully Junior and Jared will get more time. And Trump? A nice little vacation in the psych ward at Bellevue.

The SDNY requires a cooperator to disclose all personal violations of law and all those he knows about. It is my belief that Cohen is protecting members of his extended family. He has no problem discussing Trump family illegal activity.

Remember that the SDNY grabbed all his documents, including extensive recordings. There is lots of potential evidence available.

He has Russian/Ukranian crime connections--
He won't point to those guys
And I think he might have held back stuff he knows that could help Mueller because he wants an ace in the hole in case there are serious threats...and not from Trump...

my guess is some of those connections are via his family which is why trump tweeted this:

"... the fact that [ cohen's ] family was temporarily let off the hook."
