Yeah really and if you are an environmentalist then the last thing you would want is more population growth in the 1st world nations via mass immigration from the 3rd world.
^^^This. That and importing products half way around the world in Fuel Oil powered ship. How is that good for saving fuel and the environment
Eventually some calamity will come to the US and be its downfall, NO superpower/empire, remains the toughest kid on the block forever...someone tougher ALWAYS comes along eventually and knocks them down. I would guess the US downfall will some kind of financial collapse and it will be a domino effect.
My guess is not many will see it coming either, lots of people after will be asking how this happened, why did no one see this coming, etc etc.
We have the ability to make sure whoever does that comes right down with us.
Humans are like a virus to the earth. Where ever we go we trash the place and over produce offspring that task resources.
There is a widening divide between the haves and have nots in the world and in our own society.
Just look at the numbers of homeless people in San Fran, LA and other cities.
Look at the rate of substance abuse across the nation which could be seen as a cruel Mother Nature weeding out the weak but they are actually a burden on our resources as we prefer to save them.
People are the problem.
I fear in the near future we will be seeing mass migrations of people as they either pollute their own lands or global warming takes its toll.
The thing is where will all these people go? Can we stomach hundreds of thousands of people dying from lack of food and clean water? Can we save them by sharing our resources with them? Can we save them by moving them to America?
The Dems seem mad keen on letting everyone from their third world countries into America but what is going to happen to the quality of life in America with a huge influx of poor desperate people? Will our First world life style become a Second world or worse?
Who is prepared for that?
The politicians won't care as long as they can keep enjoying their high end life styles and as long as they keep getting votes.
