Yeah, it's awful the way librarians go door to door with their semi-automatics every time they want to do a book drive.

And you do know who first called having to pay taxes the equivalent of having the gubermint point a gun at you, right? Sure you do.

It was Ayn Rand in her book, Atlas Shrugged. That thing is like a million pages long and NOT available online. You can check it out at your local public library, however.

But I know what you mean by "inconvenient/inefficient." Since Ms. Rand published most of her works as fiction, you have to know the alphabet and cruise over to the "R's" on the fiction shelves to get your paws on one of Ms. Rand's infamous books - a tall order for the gang who doesn't believe in education.

Ancaps have as much in common with Randians as do Saudis and feminism. Ayn Rand HATED libertarians.

To the contrary, libertarians (not Randians) are some of the most educated people on the planet, with the highest IQs.

Ramble on, Rambler.

Long live libraries - places of enlightenment, knowledge, escapism, and devoid of advertising.

Pro-voluntaryism/anti-robbery is too badass for you to deal with?

Where's Rod Serling when you need him?

That would actually help raise money to offset the robbery so I understand the disdain for the concept.

I'm fine with a bit of robbery -tax is theft, but it isn't the end of the world.

Lending fees offset ratepayers burden, so no need for adverting here, and the disdain comes from the dumbing down of enlightened places.

You can already access all of that information online.

I believe I was responding to No_Recess, not you. Nor did I include a commentary on "Ancaps" or Objectivism which is what Ms. Rand's political ideology is usually called.

I congratulate you on your smug belief that you belong among some of "the most educated people on the planet, with the highest IQs."

I am not worthy.

So....whatever stereotypes are being conjured up are not applicable to all of us.
Glad to hear it. I never realized before coming to C-D that libraries were politically divisive. I thought everyone loved them.
