How many people have you ever heard claim that? I have heard plenty, but I live in North Carolina, so there are also plenty of people saying this who are right and plenty who are wrong.

I'm not mad at any of them, either.

^^^ Because she has nothing notable in her past or present to crow about; she has 'issues' and believes having a drop of Cherokee blood 7 generations ago, or more, will make her 'important'. She embarrasses herself over and over, no one gives a blip.

Does that mean it is time to smoke the peace pipe, now?

The Florida upper Gulf coast needs rebuilding

The Saudi's murdered a guy they didn't like. He was a permanent USA resident. He had a green card. We can't say a thing because they give us business.

The EPA is contemplating allowing drillers to dump their waste water into rivers. They are running out of places to store the contaminated water, so those of us downstream get to drink it. No telling what it will do to the oceans.

Goodness knows how many more hundreds of kids from Central America are being held at a cost of hundreds per day. Looks like seizing their kids was not a deterrent to coming here.

Lindsey and McConnell have time to chime in on Warren?

How low can we sink?

What a ridiculous slap fight.

But I guess this opens some unpleasant memories for Trump - Native Americans can run casinos at a profit, and he can't.

Just one wrinkle: What if his test comes back showing that he’s actually less Native American than Warren is? That would help her save face after yesterday’s disaster by letting her claim that she’s at least a smidgen more native than her Republican antagonists are.

Graham doubtless views it as a low-risk gamble, though. After all, it’s basically impossible to be less Native American than Elizabeth Warren.

Like Pocahontas and Dr. Ford, you take the test privately, over and over if necessary, and only reveal it if you get a result you like.

You can state that this is just because of Trump or the far-right and you'd have a valid point.

However, there are a number of other people that view cultural appropriation of the "convenient minority" play by Warren very dimly.

That includes moderates as well as people on the left.

Warren is actively engaging with Trump to try to up her profile heading into the dem primaries.
So as far as beating the topic to death, it's only one-sided because frankly this makes her look bad to have made such a claim.
(Trump of course also looks like a butt but that's normal for him.)

So, if you don't want to have this beaten to death maybe you should consider that it wasn't one sided.

No, I'm not.

I didn't disagree with what you said.

I'm just pointing out one of the PR points in this whole mess.

IMO, and in the view of many I imagine, the Cherokee press release doesn't help Senator Warren in an overall sense.
