I don’t think that’s a very respectful thing to say. What happened happened. It’s in the history books. But to gloat about it hundreds of years later is pretty tacky, considering “we” didn’t come out of it with clean hands.
Myself I don't gloat or have any thing against American Indians, but that is how the world operated up till the early 20th century.
I don't think America really has unclean hands because I think the way it was went about while not perfect was better than most other alternatives. The Indians still have their tribes and populations intact today.
If you refuse to acknowledge the rules of the government that currently presides over the land, than you should not benefit from any of the programs or money they hand out.

Is this a joke? They were near-annihilated.
Millions down to like nothing.

I'm not interested in your version of events. There weren't millions in America when the British began settling.
The American government owed its first duty to the white settlers, and shrinking the Indian's territory was the appropriate thing for it to do especially in the era and circumstances.
I googled that and found that aside come some native people and some people looking to sell shirts, no one is saying that.
Before Europeans arrived in the Americas, Native American tribes regularly went to war with other Native American tribes and, in the process, did unspeakable things to those they killed and those that lived. Once the European powers began arriving, these same tribes that had been at war with one another for thousands of years, allied themselves with England, Spain and France. When their new-found big brothers were tossed out, the tribes allied with them were also shown the door by the victors. That's how that works. Your side gets its ass kicked, then you have to leave.

Yes good point the American government's duty at the time was to buy or take by winning in conflict the adjoining frontier territory from Spain, France, Britain, the American Indians or any other outside group standing in its way. Spain and France mostly chose to sell their claims as they didn't seem so valuable at the time.
I think I will take up residence in your house. It's on stolen land (i.e. America), so this is not illegal. Be sure to keep the fridge stocked and an extra bed available. And try to keep the noise down at least till 10AM, I think I'll sleep in most days. And I like my eggs over easy, keep it in mind.
This "no human is illegal on stolen land" schtick is working out well for me!
