The title says it all. I think if we all took a deep breath, realized we are all Americans, take the emotion out of our arguments, try to see the other side and come together for solutions that help us all, we would be much better off. All of us would be.

Mmm, maybe. I also think the two parties do their best to divide us. They are all about power for themselves. I heard someone recently say they are like corporations. I agree that is how they act. They do their best to stir the pot instead of working together.

I'm not blindly loyal to my party. I've been a Democrat since 1975, when I turned 18. I am an extreme left-winger. Yet I voted for Reagan the second time around, Bush I the first time around, Dole, Bush II the second time around, McCain, and Romney.

How am I a left-winger? I admire Che Guevera, the Symbionese Liberation Army, Black September, Reverend Wright, Maxine Waters, Pol Pot, and favor the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone.

I’m mostly Republican, but there are issues I agree with Democrats on:
-Labor laws, union rights
-Consumer protection laws
-Most environmental laws. Some are a bit extreme. I believe global warming is possible, but don’t see it as a primary argument for environmental laws.
-Reasonable gun control laws. Limits on magazine size, stricter background checks, etc.
-Most social issues. Although I am socially conservative, I think the laws should be liberal.

The problem I have with Democrats is they are too extreme, even on the issues I agree with them on. For example, some will say that global warming is our biggest threat or guns should be banned. This is not the way to get conservative leaning people, like myself, on their side.

I was never that way until the recent Democratic embrace of hostility towards whites.

I'm only loyal to my conservative principles, much of which are paleoconservative, but not all. I don't believe in multiculturalism, diversity, or continuous population growth via mass immigration either. And I'm sort of libertarian leaning.

So I have no home with the democrat party. I'm certainly not blindly loyal to the Republicans but they're the only viable choice for me.

Same here. I noticed people, even some whites were hostile toward whites male or conservative in their personal interactions for decades. Then when the Democrats made it part of the platform, it was more alarming. Then after I saw what diversity and open borders were really like, it became clear the democrat party has nothing I want.
