This train has left the station. All we can do now is continue the empty talk about how we're going to pledge to fix our environment while our economies get more and more bogged down by disaster relief caused by ever more massive forest fires, then climate refugees escaping killer heat waves, rampant lyme disease and other new and ever nastier stuff we can't even think about yet.

At this very moment it's -5 degrees in northwest NM and its 6 here in Toronto ON. Does that seem screwy to anyone?

No it won't, and what the haters hate most is that Trump recognizes this and doesn't waste time and energy trying to appease them.

Until the other countries stop pretending, I'm glad the US isn't playing along. And, as many others here have said, we don't have to be part of some agreement to make changes.

That graph was just a snap shot of one year, 2017. Both the EU and US are decreasing but we still have the largest per capita carbon emissions. Cheap energy, large cars and trucks, air conditioning all come at a cost.

You mean we have been the number one economic generator.

By your logic, we can expect China to see some massive emissions reductions in ther next few years, right?

Furthermore, all sorts of exemptions are issued to major polluters like India, Russia and China, while we stifle our industries and are weakened, while our geopolitical enemies gain strength in both their economies and militaries.

A lot of blue collar workers will be happy with Trump, assuming they ever hear a fair and unbiased story about it from the MSM.

The NY Times chart stops at 2014. 2017 is the most recent available, and the EU increased its emissions.

The US certainly has room for improvement, but we absolutely don't need to be a part of this group that pats themselves on the back while not taking their responsibility seriously.

Even if Trump went along with these other nations, according to the leftists here he's stupid and no one from foreign countries respects him anyway. If that's the case, then maybe he'd be doing more harm than good if we joined. Right?

That isn't happening about the MSM, but they know the score and are very happy with Trump. They aren't as "deplorable" as the self described "smart people" like to think.

We absolutely need another Ice Age to wipe out man. Humans have been on earth a very short time compared to all other forms of previous life. In our short time here we have evolved from a human that could survive the elements and live off the land to a bunch of damn ******* that have a fit every time there is snow, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes and such. We are weak and pathetic and deserve to be wiped out so that a new life form can take over.
