Correct. Any other person would of resigned by now after facing the intelligence leaks and relentless heat from the media about the “Russia collusion” nonsense in the summer of 2017. Since then Trump has appointed 2 Supreme Court justices and passed a tax reform bill.

There was no reason to give him a chance. He was not competent to be President and proves it daily. Now that he has has been in office 2 years, it's even worse than I imagined. We have a criminal in the White House that garners no respect. Just wait for the Mueller report. Hopefully if trump goes down, so will pence. I don't want that demonic fake Christian in charge. Cheers.

He still has a chance. If, tomorrow, he deleted his twitter account and started enacting reasonable policies that were actually designed to benefit the country now and in the future while conducting himself in a dignified manner and calling for bipartisanship both in the legislature and in society, I would support him.

But he won't. Because he is a incompetent, boorish, vindictive child.

What does "giving him a chance" look like if it isn't what he's had?

He won the election, or at least the electoral college votes. He's been in office as Prez. He had a republican house and senate majority for 2 years. He came into the job with an economy that was on the upswing from a bad recession.

When someone gets a job and is in the job for 2 years with the deck stacked on their side, that's totally "getting a chance," in fact it's more of a chance than others have gotten in the same job.

if Obama had had private meetings with Vladimir Putin wherein not a soul knew what was spoken of, and then in front of the entire world Obama claimed that he believed the leader of a hostile foreign nation over his own intelligence agencies?

if Obama had admitted that he set up and had knowledge of a meeting with representatives of hostile foreign nation to get dirt on a political opponent?

if Obama had openly admitted to obstructing justice in an interview on national news and then later tried to claim it was somehow fake?

if Obama had said "take the guns first, due process second"?

if Obama had "joked around" about being President for life?

if in 2010 it had been revealed that Obama had lied over 5,000 times in under two years since taking office?

if Obama had said that not clapping for him is "un-American and treasonous"?

if Obama had hired members of his own family to serve in his administraton?
Bill clinton did all that and worse. You lefties still support him.

So by your logic, Obama should not have failed so miserably like he in fact did. And stop with the whole upswing economy as if it was because rather than despite of his extreme incompetence

Stop with the whataboutisms. This is the Trump administration. The past is the past. Each president is responsible for what they do and what they achieve or don't achieve. To claim Trump hasn't been given a chance when he:

1. Got the job! Do you get that? He got the presidency! That's called being given a chance; that's literally the U.S. saying to a candidate, "okay, you get the chance to run the country and do what you said you were going to do."

2. Had a republican dominated house and senate for a republican president, which is what any president would hope for (their party in control).

It seems like Trump and his supporters somehow never realized he actually got the presidency. Why all the campaigning type rallies to continue after he was inaugurated? Constant campaigning? Why? You got the job--it's yours!

That by every definition is "being given a chance."

So, It's wrong to show the people that you are willing to meet with them and give an in person update on how things are going? It now required for the POTUS to hold up in the WH and never speak to the citizens in person ever again?

Dude. You're the one saying Trump isn't being given a chance by dems/liberals. Your words. That's the title of YOUR post and you are the OP.

He.Got.The.Job. He was inaugurated as prez of the U.S. That is the chance!

You fail to grok this.

Do you not realize he's been in the actual job coming up on 2 years?

That is being given a chance. The United States literally elected him president.

That you are even arguing this shows a lack of simple understanding and at this point is bordering on unhinged.
