Not every Yahoo Lifestyle story needs to be a thread.

Evidently, this couple won the lottery to replay this kiss. Enjoy the moment. Blow the pic up into a huge wall hanging, whatever.

Are they sure they got backlash or did they "create" it by running to the media and exaggerating the very few negative comments and keeping the "oppressed LGBT" narrative going?

They did get considerable backlash as did the TV station that carried the story, as detailed by the station. Sorry to destroy your hope that they made it up to keep the "oppressed LBGT" narrative going, as you so put it. Luckily for the majority of us who aren't bigots, most of the comments on social media were favorable.

Tough bounds. It was a better country and a better class of people.

Not surprised with that type of reaction from redneck bigots in backwards Florida.

This said, the iconic photo is totally original. The sailor and the nurse did not even know each other, they were celebrating the end of the war, and a victory.

These two sailors are sweet, maybe they wanted some attention and they did indeed get it. Nothing really newsworthy.

This was likely an activist stunt just to stir the pot and try to put unnatural homo affection in public by imitating natural hetero affection.
The homo activists are no longer satisfied with the ability to live as they choose, and now demand public acceptance of their deviant behavior.

As is with liberals malcontent natures, they will push the homo and tranny stuff too far, and there will be a backlash over it. Heck the latest acronym for the all the sexual deviancy is now LGBTIQQCAPGNGFNBA.
Sadly, I am not joking.

I can't keep track of all those letters. Maybe we can use the term alphabet people.
