We need to separate out the number of congress people that don't represent American citizens but think there job is to represent the worlds population. Then lets see who is in the majority.
One thing is clear. The last 40 years congress has failed on all areas of immigration and border security. A promise that was made when Reagan gave amnesty. The word of congress and leaders like Chuck and Nancy is worthless when they say open the gov. and then we'll talk.

I remember when Hillary was SOS and she proudly claimed that they were cutting the aid to Pakistan by 1/3 which amounted to $300 million dollars! Why were we giving Pakistan $900 million dollars to begin with and why are we still giving them $600 million??
It is ridiculous and somehow Trump is labelled a Nationalist for wanting to bring back some of that money and reduce Americas footprint on the world?

Yeah they are temporarily effected. The greater concern by any reasonable measure are those who will have their life ended and their families effectively shattered for eternity. If the choice is a lost paycheck against a life ended, and its preventable, which it is, I say stop the carnage and suffer the loss of a paycheck.

their egos are obviously a problem but its not just that. their goals are so so different that its going to be hard to compromise. i think they'll have to do patchwork deals to keep things afloat like the TSA and IRS. I think it could be a while before the full federal govt is back to work.
The Democrats have no problem fighting for illegal aliens and foreign aid. Their issue is doing anything for the American people.
