And, while it is not the end of the world, and it may be classist, this is the White House and our President. Should we not have a certain standard? Is this who we want to be? We talk about the degradation of society, but shouldn't we include how we treat official visitors to the White House in that?
There was also an opportunity here that didn't include paper wrappers & plastic forks. I'm sure any number of caterers could have helped. I could put together a better dinner for less than he spent today.

That table is the American diet like it or not. For everyone on here stating that food was disgusting, I agree. But I have yet to see a major slow down in fast food profits, and the line at fast food places is always packed at lunch. That American exceptionalism keeps us from adknowleding our own discusting habits, we serve crap food and we are good at it. Ive spent half my adult life watching clots get pulled out of cardiac vessels and the stats on heart disease is well known. The whole world wants to eat our crap food, KFC’s litter the globe. Yes this was the wrong food for the occasion but some of the comments on here are over the top.
Part of why our life expectancy has dropped. And obesity rates rose in Asia when it was introduced there.
I know a whole lot of people who rarely if ever eat fast food, though. It's not totally pervasive. I work in the city within walking distance of a ton or fast food, and most people are bringing their own food or lined up at the cafeteria salad bar. I can't remember the last time I ate it.
I got a kick out of "hamberders", as did BK. But on the scale of the horrific stuff trump has pulled this ranks pretty low.
