Why should non-essential federal parasites get back pay for sitting on their behinds? Why should anyone get money or anything else for sitting on their behinds?

I can't stand welfare.

Again, what’s the moral justification for people, who didn’t work during the shutdown, to get paid? They didn’t do the work.
Many have contracts in place that require that they be paid, besides this isn't their fault or some natural reason for a cut back. This was congress and the president deciding that they needed to suspend pay for certain employees because they are incapable of doing the job for which they were elected.

If they want to have a real shutdown go all the way including Air Traffic Controllers and Military, rather than shutdown-lite. It doesn't matter what anyone believes, they will at some point be paid and our elected officials will have wasted millions of dollars.

Trump lied and said she went as did the right wing media. Even though it's been reported dozens of times she did not go, you won't stop repeating the #FakeNews.

You know, Cape Cod Todd, I generally find you to be a respectful poster and I think you care, unlike some of the others here; however, when I see you parrot wrong information it makes me doubt anything else you might post and, believe it or not, I do like to have an honest dialogue with people.

ohhh they went to meet with the folks there? thank you for telling us that it definitely wasn't a vacation

There's a whole lot of Fed envy on this thread from people who would never meet the educational requirements for most of those jobs, and probably couldn’t pass a drug screen.

So the only reason I shouldn’t be paid is due to natural disasters????

Never heard of that.

Paid vacation?

None of them has been paid since Christmas.

A lot of them have been working without pay.

A lot of them are behind in rent and other expenses.

Nobody knows how long this government shut down is going to last.

So wtf are you talking about paid vacation?

So wait, I thought you said non essential/furloughed employees should not be paid?

But since you like to ***** about non essential employees getting paid for “doing nothing”, what about essential employees who have been working without pay? That **** will not fly in private businesses
