My opinion of this is regardless of the law. If I have a job for someone to perform that does not fit into their schedule for any reason whatsoever that is their problem.

So it's okay to lie to employees? Tell they don't have to work on certain days, then go back on your word and threaten them with their job?

If you are seeking a job and require Sunday off I would suggest you have contract that spells that out. If I'm able to accommodate you that doesn't mean I can or have to accommodate you forever. Circumstances change and if those changes require you work on Sunday too damn bad.

Nope, your word is your bond. If you as an employer agreed to the no Sundays, you keep your word.

When I was young I worked in a grocery store and was hired to work night shift with 'no overtime'. The very first night I was there, I was forced to work two extra hours. That went on for about two more weeks (and they changed everyone's hours as well). At the end of the two weeks I told them where they could stick their job.
