Are you serious? Smollett is all over the news. What planet are you on?
Smollett was all over the news when he was telling lies about Trump supporters. Now that he's demonstrated to be a liar and has been arrested-not so much. Nothing on the news this AM before work-but the torn sneaker was.
I don't know that he's going to agree to a plea deal. I initially thought so, but not after the statement of his legal team and his alleged statement to the cast of Empire. He's holding firm to the idea that he's now being victimized for the second time.
All that molly he was buying from one of the brothers may be clouding his thinking....lol.
He is starting to remind me of Paul Manafort. He acts out in what appears to be approaching a sociopathically desulsional fashion. He seems to think that he really is beyond all of this. Of course if he watched the OJ trial, or if he watched Hillary Clinton and her crew and the treatment that they got for similar conduct, you can understand how these people have been encouraged to think this way, at least to some extent.
And we should not rule out him getting a pass on all of this by the time it is all said and done. Remember, we have different standards of justice in this country now for different people, based largely on whether you are a member of the "Politically correct" elite or not. If they throw Smollett under the bus, that will be quite remarkable, actually.
So maybe he is delusional. Or, then again, maybe he is on to something here.
The Prosecutors statement was that he intentionally led police and the public to believe his attackers were white.
Ok, that right there proves without a doubt that he's not innocent. I'm completely puzzled??? If he staged it under the camera that he thought would capture everything, wouldn't it be obvious that the attackers were not white. Could he be that stupid?
Yeah, all of the sudden, they are all about due process. It will not be so easy for them to cast those concerns aside for their perceived adversaries again next time around.

Interesting. School children get no "presumption of innocence" before the media attacks them, engenders hatred and generates death threats against them. But a lying, hate-mongering actor does.
Why is there so much interest in this story? Is it because conservatives love it because it makes liberals look so bad and ridiculous?
Conservatives weren't the ones who made this a national story. And yes, liberals should expect to have embarrassing incidents like this thrown back in their faces until they start examining why they're so easily taken in by these hoaxes, and for that matter, why there are so damned many such hoaxes.

The delicious irony is that Smollett's cringe-worthy assumptions about how MAGA folks think and behave was a big part of the skepticism that brought on the scrutiny that eventually unraveled his "woe is me" tale.

the brothers were pretty well covered up in -20 weather with masks on. doubtful that a camera could reveal their race so he could claim whatever he wanted.
