I tend to agree, I simply meant it is not yet confirmed.
Yeah, it is unlikely he wasn't in on it. But, I guess there is a small possibility his associates attacked him over some beef and they made it look like a hate crime to distract people (including smollett). That requires more logical leaps than a simple hoax, but sometimes almost unbelievable stuff does happen.
I guess the news reporting will slow with the terrible shooting outside Chicago today (Quite frankly a more important story). But, I believe they either have to be released or officially charged today. So we should at least hear about that decision today. In theory that should spur some follow on news from Jussie's camp, the suspects attorneys, CPD, etc.

Yeah, it will be interesting given his statement on the GMA interview that he had no doubt the people on the video were his attackers. Does he come out with a statement praising that the attackers have been brought to justice.
When you suggested he's still in the US because Chicago is a Sanctuary City. Sanctuary City only applies to illegals, right? Citizens and Green Card holders don't need/care if a city is Sanctuary or not because they are legal to live/work anywhere in the USA. ICE won't be coming for them, because they aren't illegals.

I can tell just from the view straight down the street to Navy Pier that that's his building.
