I'm not saying it's bad at all. I'm saying that it's socialist. Because of the irony involved with the OP's thread title. The Marxist media. It's hilarious, and I'm laughing. More than that, the OP's cheap health insurance is cheap because it lets those with pre-existing conditions suffer, it lets those who don't go to church three times a month suffer, it lets those born with diabetes suffer, it's not a particularly charitable plan considering it calls itself "Christian" health insurance. I'm glad the OP has found something that has worked for him, but his plan isn't going to work for the majority of people in this country.
A large part of our entire economic system is socialist despite the claims to the contrary. No one, or very few complain about these aspects of socialism because they see themselves benefiting from them.
The entire Federal Reserve system is a socialist one. Bail outs are socialism. Tariffs are socialism.
The OP's system isn't even actually real but we love to argue things like this as opposed to actual problems.
This little scheme works for the OP, for now, and that's great, for him. To call it Christian, or charitable, or to use the Samaritan name is blasphemy though. There is nothing Christian about this. It's just for selfish people to get together and try to save themselves some money and pat themselves on the back for not being "socialists" and for being (fake) Christians...until of course, something really catastrophic and expensive happens and then, you are out of luck and bankrupt just like those people who you don't believe deserve to have healthcare.

I just found the irony amusing.
What worries me most about healthcare is how much of our economy is already monopolized by healthcare, and the baby boomers are just beginning to ramp up their healthcare needs. We need a more diverse economy for it to be healthy. And with the ties to insurance, when baby boomers' health care needs really hit, the economy won't be able to absorb the costs. We are looking at a financial disaster in the next two decades, but most of our society doesn't see it.

Very very few care about anything other than the next earnings statement.
You do realize that The ACA, or Obamacare, is not an insurance policy, its a law that all insurance policies have to follow. Right? My policy is Obamacare compliant as are all other true insurance policies.
It's basically a government insurance policy when they subsidize the companies so heavily. There is no difference. Government make the rules. Government puts up the money.

"Oh, I feel so depressed today. Never mind that I drink a two-liter of DP every day and don't exercise". And my kids have ADHD and SSI
Do you deny mental health and ADHD are real issues? You definitely don't live in the real world.
A lot of it is bogus, yes. Amazing about the SSI stuff. Once a big pile of money became available for the taking for SSI under Clinton, a whole bunch of 'new cases' popped up ready to gobble up that money.
ADHD, ADD same thing. Just get the kids to eat right and exercise. They don't need the damn Ritalin.
Don't worry most of us know true Christians and realize that they show it by how they conduct themselves not what they say. None that I know would ever condemn someone in the manner that's been displayed here.
What pile of garbage. You leftwingers just don't think Christians should be allowed to have a voice and defend ourselves against lies. Now, could you please stop with the personal attacks and stick to the topic?

So if Adam Lanza had just ate right and got more exercise he wouldn't have done what he did?
Semaritan is NOT equivalent to Obamacare. It does NOT cover preexisting conditions, which is a major cost in healthcare. You do not seem to understand that.
No, I don't understand that at all. Never mind that I put it in my OP and we have been talking about it for nearly 1000 posts.

Anyone who claims to be a Christian and then rails against ACA as being "welfare" is being a hypocrite.
I guess if Samaritan had a $2 trillion dollar war chest behind it, it could provide welfare, too. But tell us how the hell you think an entity can be both self-sufficient and pay for all pre-existing conditions as you demonize Samaritan for not doing? Should I wait for an answer?

ACA is doing exactly what Jesus taught - taking care of the sick, the poor, and the disadvantaged.
As far as I know, Jesus didn't coerce anybody to do anything, much less prosecute and fine people for not ponying up $2 TRILLION on a wasteful program that butchered little babies and forced birth control costs on people.

You have no clue what your are talking about. ADHD has nothing to do with diet or exercise. You can be born with it.
Everything you disagree with is because of the "Marxist" media.
