We have do gooders here in England appalled at the removal of Shamima Begum's British citizenship. She decided to go and join ISIS, and breed with a member of this band of religious fanatics, dreaming of recreating some long lost Islamic caliphate. A place where Islamic law would be followed to the letter.
This group then set about slaughtering their way across huge parts of the Middle East. Infidels they came across were beheaded on social media. Shamima mentioned in an interview a basket full of heads didn't faze her at all.
Muslims thought not quite Muslim enough were also killed. Innocent people burned alive........ Muslims from all over the world flocked to join in the mayhem. Well, things didn't quite work out as they planned, but not before plenty of killing of anyone opposed to them.
Now we see this pathetic woman appealing for understanding of her plight. She didn't feel anybody killed by ISIS deserved mercy, why should we give any to her, and others like her?
As the old saying goes, she made her bed. Lie in it.
Maybe yes, maybe no. State issued her the first passport and while passports are commonly accepted as proof of citizenship the State department really doesn't have the authority to make a citizenship ruling. What they do is more procedural. Citizenship falls under Homeland Security, USCIS.
Her citizenship hasn't been revoked. The story now is that she never had it to begin with - this really reduces her possible rights. Sure the mechanism was the Trump tweet to the Pompeo announcement but it's really up to USCIS. If it doesn't want to consider the UN letter for some reason (like Trump) then who knows.
The really sad thing is that this then also denies her son derivative citizenship.
Unfortunately a court is going to have to resolve this. I'm not arguing that is good or bad, just that it is.

I was shocked to read she was 15 when she ran away.

So disturbing.
I have read that some of these girls liked the idea of selecting their own husband, instead of one picked by their parents. Four years ago, she rushed off to join ISIS. Maybe she hoped she would get the pick of the litter.
If anything she needs help. And it is an issue where the West can show that we are not barbarians like those terrorists. Most or all of those girls did not go to Syria etc. in order to kill people (and they never end up doing it), but because they became victims of clever manipulators. Others start to take drugs or do other stupid things when they are exposed to the wrong kind of people.
Obviously we should hold mistakes by 15 year olds against them for the rest of their lives. Not only that , we should punish their children.
What has damaged Shamima Begum in the public eye, is her statements made as a 19 year old woman this last few days. No remorse, no regrets, beyond not getting the sympathy for her plight she feels she deserves.
If ISIS was still in control of the areas it once held, she still would not be disturbed by severed heads. She has stated they got what they deserved. She has stated adults and children killed in the Manchester Arena bombing were retaliatory targets for bombed ISIS people.
That's why she has had her citizenship removed. The woman just couldn't keep her mouth shut.

Trump said that not only would he kill the terrorists, he would also kill their entire families. Many were not disturbed by that.
And yet they don't or there would be no one else left.
I don't much care what they wanted hundreds of years ago.
The guy that said he would kill innocent family members bragged they flock to him also.
Children don't matter after they are born.........
If ISIS had continued it's rampage unchecked, many more would have been killed who didn't reach their standards within Islam. Plus any passing Infidels.
They wanted to recreate a mystic Islamic land from hundreds of years ago. It mattered enough to bring Muslims from all over the world to recreate it. It matters because it shows what fanatics we are dealing with.
They would show us no mercy. Those that fight in the name of ISIS should receive the same from us.
I don't understand your comment on children, so can't answer it.
