Very enlightened of her.
We are not allowed by law to make her stateless. Bangladesh, her mother's birth country say they will not accept her, and will never issue a passport.

I have a bad feeling England has not seen the back of Shamima Begum.

Umm, the use of the word fits.

Read the definition carefully...it doesn't have to be a country.

All major news organizations have all used the word defector to talk about people leaving ISIS or leaving to join ISIS.

Kind of silly, like when you argued against the actual dictionary definition of the word native.

There's a middle ground here. One can be a citizen without being granted a passport - passports are denied for a whole host of reasons. Can't travel by plane to US without a passport. What about the UK?

Same. Got to have a passport. Bangladesh want nothing to do with Shamima Begum. She is entitled by their law, until she is 21 years old, to a Bangladesh passport, because that is her mother's country of birth. But, they say Shamima Begum has never visited the country, and they are refusing to accept her as a citizen.

That puts her in a sort of limbo I guess. But, when it comes to the crunch, the UK is her country of birth. We may hold her off through the courts for a while, but her parents are taking steps to get her back in the country, and are lawyering up. It all depends how determined the UK authorities are to keep Begum out of the country.

Should our troops, who illegally cross borders and enter into sovereign nations, be allowed to return home?

Yes, because they are not savage medieval mystics who want to kill apostates and cloak their women in black and push gays off roofs. If one of our troops turns into such a subhuman monster, then they can’t come back either.

Hoda's father reportedly had turned in his diplomatic card and became a legal permanent resident by the time of her birth. First reports were that State's position was that she did not qualify for birthright citizenship due to her father's diplomatic status. Now the word "revoked" is being used with it not clear whether Pompeo followed any legal proceeding. If the issue was revocation then the father's status wouldn't have been an issue one way or another, it seems to me.

Again, whatever one thinks of Hoda ... to mess around with these kinds of principals is not cool, particularly since it also impacts a child.
The Brit girl sounds totally psycho. If the UK followed their legal revocation process, then fine.
The UK may be able to revoke a citizens, citizenship. I have no clue. The United States can not under any circumstance revoke the citizenship of a natural born citizen. If the facts in the lawsuit are correct then this will be an easy one for the courts.

Hand her over to the Syrian government, problem solved. She was committing these acts on Syrian territory, Syria can handle her.

The US government deploys our troops. The US government did not deploy this person to ISIS. The troops are under no violation of US law.
