We are not allowed by law to make her stateless. Bangladesh, her mother's birth country say they will not accept her, and will never issue a passport.

Same. Got to have a passport. Bangladesh want nothing to do with Shamima Begum. She is entitled by their law, until she is 21 years old, to a Bangladesh passport, because that is her mother's country of birth. But, they say Shamima Begum has never visited the country, and they are refusing to accept her as a citizen.
That puts her in a sort of limbo I guess. But, when it comes to the crunch, the UK is her country of birth. We may hold her off through the courts for a while, but her parents are taking steps to get her back in the country, and are lawyering up. It all depends how determined the UK authorities are to keep Begum out of the country.

It names Trump, Pompeo and Attorney General William Barr as defendants, asserting "Citizenship is a core right under the Constitution, and once recognized should not be able to be unilaterally revoked by tweet — no matter how egregious the intervening conduct may be."
Hoda's father reportedly had turned in his diplomatic card and became a legal permanent resident by the time of her birth. First reports were that State's position was that she did not qualify for birthright citizenship due to her father's diplomatic status. Now the word "revoked" is being used with it not clear whether Pompeo followed any legal proceeding. If the issue was revocation then the father's status wouldn't have been an issue one way or another, it seems to me.

The UK may be able to revoke a citizens, citizenship. I have no clue. The United States can not under any circumstance revoke the citizenship of a natural born citizen. If the facts in the lawsuit are correct then this will be an easy one for the courts.

The US government deploys our troops. The US government did not deploy this person to ISIS. The troops are under no violation of US law.
