Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid settled their collusion case with the NFL on Friday. It was arguably the biggest win that Kaepernick and Reid could have possibly gotten out of the lawsuit.
Quote:
Because of the confidentiality agreements signed as part of the settlement, we will never know for certain whether or not the owners colluded against Kaepernick and Reid. But this settlement also doesn’t prove that they didn’t collude. The NFL losing its summary judgement motion last August suggests that the Kaepernick and Reid had, at the very least, a viable shot of winning the case.

We also might never know how rich that settlement is. Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman reported that team officials speculated that it could have been anywhere between $60 and $80 million

Wow, $60 million? I thought it wasn't about the money? Will he be giving 90% to social activism?

This is why playing the race card and being a victim is such a big business in America, he earned more by kneeling than he ever did playing.

I still think that Kaepernick ought to go to police academy and become a beat cop in a black majority poor neighborhood. He could then show police officers how the job should be done. Enough with the kneeling, it's time for him to take some real action to help fix the problem he thinks America has with blacks.

turns out colin was, to quote a prominent dem hate-monger, 'all about the benjamins'…...or he wouldn't have settled the lawsuit, taken the money, and signed a confidentiality agreement.

Social Activism? That s free. Doesnt need donations.

He was a victim. He was penalized , ostracized, scapegoated, financially ruined..career murdered for not standing during the Pledge of Allegiance. Un believable.
You know who does something like this to its citizens? North Korea.

I hope he keeps 100% of the $$.$$.

Maybe next ,Trump and his wanna be dictator buddies can rally the Pope , and the local minister to go after people who choose to pray outside or at home instead of church, or on Thursday instead of Sunday

NFL Football can take a long walk on a short pier. They suck.

You do know he turned down an offer to continue playing early on, right? Having been around sports for a long time, I can tell you if anyone really thought he could help him win he would have been on a roster!

And you are completely wrong. He's not a high end starter but he's better, right now, than 50% of the rostered QB's in the NFL. He became a lightning rod for a political debate, because of our Moron in Chief. The NFL refused to roster him because of it.

Do players not have the right to refuse employment or must they sign any contract offered to them?

False equivalency. The government didn't do anything to Kaepernick - the free market simply didn't tolerant his childish temper tantrums. In North Korea, it would have been a government action. Big difference.

Funny how all the people defending the police are absent from the thread where they lied and executed a couple in their own home.

Why does one have to become a police officer or give millions away to understand how wrong this is?

It's all about the money for this idiot....and not football....

He turned down a salary to play in the AAF.....they offered him the basic salary, that all players get, and said nope, I'll take 20 million and I'll play....

Sad the left seen him as something to fawn over....

Quote:
a person with knowledge of the conversation told the Associated Press that Kaepernick, "wanted $20 million or more to consider playing with the league that had its debut last weekend." That person spoke on the condition of anonymity. Not to question anyone's credibility, but that $20 million number is awfully hard to believe, for several reasons.
For one, it's a number that would dwarf all other salaries in the league. AAF players sign three-year contracts worth a total of $250,000.
