All the Dems are doing with this hearing is trying to come up with something that might give a shadow of legitimacy to the impeachment hearings to come. In exchange for testimony that deems Trump guilty of many things (but without being able to prove it) Cohen has probably been promised a pardon or other get out of jail early card if the Dems win in 2020, and probably a means to support himself afterwards.

Anyone who pretends this isn't politics at its dirtiest is living in a dream world. This is about power and the riches that come from it. Its always about power and the riches that come from it. Both sides want the rewards that come with power.

As has always been. seems so clear to me.

The Congress should be ashamed of themselves for putting this liar in front of them. Despicable.

Seriously, so pathetic at this point.

Yes, it would. Has he submitted copies of checks that equal the amount? Or his he holding evidence back for some reason? I have only seen one check.

I believe Trump paid Stormy hush money. I just do not believe one check for 35K to a former lawyer (meaning that check could be in payment of legal fees, disbursements etc) is evidence enough.

Yes, but Cohen is giving the committee reason to call Weisselberg.
