There is a reason Cohen is a convicted liar: He worked for Donald Trump. Who would work for Donald Trump and be honest? Name one honest person who has worked for Trump? The man himself is a pathological liar.

Even if Cohen's testimony doesn't result in any legal consequences for Trump, and doesn't lead to impeachment and removal, it might influence enough people who were planning to vote for him in 2020 to not vote for him, thus preventing his reelection.

Its been their strategy with everyone that tells the truth about Trump. They are all liars, criminals, cheats, dishonest, deep state actors etc.
Doesn't matter what their history was, what party they are from, their reputations prior etc. If you tell the truth about Trump you will be slandered.
Notice how NONE of the republicans are asking Cohen follow up questions about the wrongdoings that Cohen has accused Trump of.
ALL of the republicans on the committee are using ALL of their time to try their best to discredit him. None of the republicans are asking questions about the crimes that Cohen alleges Trump was a part of.

They keep ignoring that it doesn't matter what he said before - if he has corroborating evidence, that's all that matters.
The issue isn't if he is a liar - the issue at hand is "why did he lie previously?" and "can he back up his statements now?".
If you can answer both of those - which I think we can on some details - that is all that matters.
This is very bad for Trump, regardless of your thoughts on Cohen.
