Having stimulated hatred, creating divisiveness, those marching with torches repeating racial chants, his causing many acts of violence, racism and harm, this is not normal for a U. S. president to instill in Americans! And it was his Conservative fans that began lashing out at others, as HE opened the floodgates. THAT is why this behavior became rampant, due to his regular, negative encouragement of during rallies.
Otherwise, there have been those motivated to react to, fighting back against those having started trouble, in defense.
