Based on what I've read, apparently a lot of people are unhappily surprised. But everyone should have known that Republicans really only like to funnel money to the upper-upper class.
Top 1% were paying 38% of the federal income taxes. Now that number is 43%. Sorry. Your narrative is wrong.
.......the refund was significantly less.....but, the effective net tax rate was considerably less and with the withholding being significantly less during the year, we basically broke even. I'll take that.....
Very similar scenario for my middle class family living in a high local tax community.

Based on what I've read, apparently a lot of people are HAPPILY surprised.
We're a upper middle class income family and we're paying significantly more taxes this year thanks to Trumps tax reform.

Own my home outright. Pay all my bills on time.
Don't live off the fat of the land but I ain't starving.
Thank you Mr.President.
I'll pay the taxes but you miss the point the president lied and said it was a "TAX BREAK it's not"
Well it was a happy lie for you, you get to pay more taxes and I would expect you to hope that your taxes get tripled for next year to catch you up with the Nordic model you crave....here's to your taxes tripling
so, is everyone basing this off their "tax return?" did anyone take into consideration their take home pay?
