Our 2018 taxable income is $8295 more than our 2017 taxable income. In 2018 we are paying $535 less in taxes. Itemized in 2017 and standard deduction in 2018.

It's well known that the Trumps reform clamped down on deductions and also favors some regions of the country. He promoted his reform as tax relief but It functions just like a TAX increase for at least 10% of the population.
We had over 13K of non reimbursed business related expenses in 2017. This year about the same amount, but not filing a schedule A and claiming those itemized deductions, our mtg int, and RE taxes, instead we made up for that with the standard going from 12 to 24 we actually came out better. Guess living in a low tax state with lower real estate taxes has its advantages.....
What you call paying your fair share is a TAX INCREASE regardless of how you spin it or how many emoticons you use. I can afford it and I'll pay but it's still a tax increase. I don't think the 90% figure you quote will hold up when all the data is in.
Shouldn't you be happy that you are paying your share now and not taking advantage of those dirty tax loopholes? Don't you want to be a compassionate socialist?

even if you wont itemize anymore..you can still claim business expenses on the new schedule 1 (or2) and still use the form 2106 for business travel expenses that your company does not reimburse
Mr. Trump certainly has been the best President when it comes to keeping his promises and the tax cuts were on that list. What a guy !!! People would have to be crazy to vote for some socialist democrat wanting to transfer our money to their control.
Political propaganda: who you gonna believe, me or your eyes?
To Republicans, anything to the left of feudalism is socialism. The theme of the month is showing in your posts, phma.
