Could somebody explain this to me.
He offered 100M bail. And that was rejected bcs he is a flight risk, among other reasons.
There is a huge ongoing investigation with him as the key person here.
Now, how is it that he could not be kept away from other inmates ?

what is the point of your question and why did you tie it to my post?
how hard is it to understand that wanting Epstein still alive has to do with wanting him to sing like a birdabout who else is implicated.
Geez
Yep. A lot of prominent pervs--I mean people--want Epstein dead. I hope that somebody honest and non-corruptible is keeping an eye on this situation. They need to have him under surveillance 24/7. No suicide. No "accidents".

Didn't you follow the Manafort case? A suite with his own bathroom (private), etc......
The wealthy don't go to the same places you and I do. The DOJ will make sure he does not get in the general population...because, this way, if they (Barr, Trump, etc.) find themselves locked up also they will not either.
Did you watch Wolf of Wall Street? He was playing tennis at Club Fed at the end of the movie.
Club Feds run the entire range from super-max to "almost" summer camp. A rich dude who is not yet convicted is going to be isolated from the general population "for his safety". That is what they are going to call it so the riffraff (you and I) don't catch onto the game.
You sound like someone who believes we have equal justice under the law. We do not...we have never had and likely we never will.

Again.
Sigh.
The article states the possibility that other inmates injured him.
How is it possible that other inmates could get in touch with him.
I am asking this because it seems preposterous, considering who he is and why he is there. The only logical reason for it is that someone wants Epstein to be suicided and has an inside guy to do the job. HOwever, this case is under too much public scrutiny for something like that to be allowed to occur so blatantly.
The rest of your post has absolutely nothing whatsoever with my question.
And by the way, I am not naive to believe the equal justice in your or in my country. Scandinavians might have something close to it, the rest of us can sit and lament.
I wouldn't put much credence into a single news report...especially one that says:
"the injuries were not serious and questioned if Epstein might be using it as a way to get a transfer."
and "was reportedly moved to solitary protective custody after other inmates threatened him"
The same DOJ and his friends in high places could all be part of a ruse to get him to a better place.
When it comes to "justice" one has to think of the more far out possibility (like the DOJ stepping in for Manafort AFTER he was already tried and convicted) and imagine that these people get away with murder. In fact, according to his own daughters, Manafort was involved in the murder of many.
IMHO, he should be treated well...because in this country one is innocent until proven guilty.

No kidding,if he was in a single cell which I assumed would be the case, how could someone else have done this?
How is it that he could not be kept away from YOUNG GIRLS after he was convicted in Florida!
Is there an allegation that Epstein was molesting young girls after his Florida conviction? Only thing I have come across is some reports from the St. Thomas airport that young ladies were seen on his aircraft.
All of the NY allegations appear to be from before his conviction in FL.
I think it was a suicide attempt. Epstein knows that if convicted he faces the rest of his life in prison. I don't think he has reached the point where he is ready to cut a deal for the best prison housing, or he has concluded that even if he cut that deal other prisoners will attack him.
He is depressed, not angry at others who joined him in his game.. yet. Keep in mind he will be in his current prison housing until his attornies either get the current charge dismissed or he goes on trial, and that other charges based on porn may be pending.
If he does commit suicide what happens to cases against others?
