So...some of you folks are advocating violence because of a difference of opinion?

For once I agree with you.

I'm so over the culture we have currently, which seems to consist predominantly of attacking people all the time. I'm so over all the namecalling and nicknames. It's so childish.

It's like people don't know how to converse with each other unless it includes an attack on someone.

I try not to do it except where I have been attacked first. Even then I try to rebut the attack in a lighthearted way.

My one exception to this rule is I'm very happy to attack Trump because he does it all the time to others. Personal attack seems to be practically the only tool he has.

That’s why it’s pretty easy for politicians and media to manipulate people. You just appeal to people’s emotions, get them riled up, pick a group to be the scapegoat (Jews, Blacks, Whites, Men, Women, Heterosexuals, Homosexuals, etc.) and then they fall into the “my team good, your team bad” mentality.
Practically speaking, it is even possible to attack an idea "objectively", if you know what I mean? That is, attacking the idea without resorting to personal feelings/emotions.

Why just “him” when there are so many good examples of the left attacking people right here on CD?

Add mocking flat earthers to that list and adults who believe in Santa Claus.

Sure seems like it goes both ways. If you don't see that, you are blindly partisan.
