Just bear in mind, the vast majority of people who still own landlines are older folks and senior citizens, who tend to be hostile to change (whether it's for the better or not) and are tolerant of stuff that would be politically incorrect (if not unethical), simply because of the era they grew up in.

If someone not named Joe Biden did this to female coworkers in the workpalce in 2019, not only would they lose their job for sexual harassment and likely be blacklisted in their profession, but the company in question would likely endure a costly EEOC lawsuit.

The point is you would lose your job if you were some average individual engaging in such activity in the workplace with female coworkers, and the company would face a costly legal battle.
People don't lose their jobs and companies don't have to defend themselves in costly lawsuits if everything that occurs is acceptable and ethical.
