Mueller will testify. Nothing wrong with that.

Maybe help Democrats accept the truth.

Or not.

Obstruction of justice is 100% about being frustrated by the legal process. That's the definition of the crime.

Barr didn't do himself or Trump any good this morning.

another clueless post!!! Criminal Law for Laypeople: You need to prove *both* the actus reus (the physical act) and the mens rea (the mental state) to convict someone of a crime. At minimum, you also need to have some evidence of both to *charge* someone with a crime. Without both, you have nothing.

Trump being upset and frustrated about false accusations and illegal leaks is not obstruction.

Also of interest in Barr's statement was the detail on Russia passing the hacked emails to WikiLeaks. He indicated that receiving the emails was not a crime as long as they didn't assist in their acquisition.

Now why did he single out that aspect?

Mueller may be hesitant to reveal his findings lest he face a backlash for his participation in the witch hunt. If the report is embarrassing to him and makes everyone but Trump look bad, they may want to just forget about it.

Now how is Trump going to be impeached? Any more false hopes left?

Barr mentioned the Russian indictments but he failed to mention the indictments of folks associated with the president. Barr is acting as the president's lawyer rather than the country's highest law enforcement officer.

ZERO of those indictments had anything to do with Russians or this report.

Sorry to pop your party balloon.
