There was no crime that justified the investigation to begin with. That's the biggest reason there isn't any provable obstruction with corrupt intent. All that's left is politics.
Obstruction is a joke considering there is zero evidence for collusion. You know, no underlying crime to pin the obstruction on. That's how it works in the real world, not this fantasy world of CNN, MSNBC & the rest. The real action comes when Inspector General Horowitz releases his report & AG Barr rolls out a set of criminal referrals this spring.
Was Christopher Steele an American? Or his contacts in Russia? His connection to both Clinton and the FBI during the campaign is problematic for anyone paying attention.
IMO, Trump learned as a child to always lay the blame on his siblings. He's really good at not ever getting caught. There is always another person between Trump and trouble. Too bad he forgot that lesson when he allowed Jr. to meet with the Russians.
Clinton was not directly involved. Her campaign or McCain's first paid a law firm to hire Steele.
It's against the law to get a benefit from foreigners in a political campaign. Clinton could always say she heard it from the lawyers.
Jr. didn't get to do that. Too bad all those people Trump hired, like Manafort. didn't tell him. The people running his campaign should have known that and warned him off meeting with the Russians..
If this old grandma in Texas knew that rule years ago, one would think a political operative such as Manafort knew it. Unless he did know, but figured they'd never get caught.
Ok - I am more concerned with the president not being a scumbag - not that he just manages to barely clear the bar of not doing anything illegal enough for a prosecutor to be willing to bring charges against a sitting president.
I used to care about points like this. But then I noticed every potus and would-be potus lowered the bar of decency. With every election, I lost more respect for our leaders. Each one - repub or dem - was less worthy than the one before. I finally accepted the reality that I'm voting for the candidate who will do the least amount of damage to our country. I voted for Trump and will do so again unless there is a formidable opponent who I believe to be the lesser of two evils.
This report means diddly in that regard. Democrats are deaf to the collective voice in the middle: Gimme someone to believe in, or Trump gets another term.
It's worth it to flip on MSNBC. The loony shrills are losing their little minds. I think Tingles is having a stroke.
