New High School Textbook Describes Trump as Mentally Ill, Supporters as Racist

https://www.toddstarnes.com/campus/n...TBpiaaIkPuUh9c

“Most thought that Trump was too extreme a candidate to win the nomination, but his extremism, his anti-establishment rhetoric, and, some said, his not very hidden racism connected with a significant number of primary voters,” the author wrote....

That's pretty much the Trump that America knows.

What's the issue?

They're just recording history as textbooks should. Like it or not, this is how Trump will be remembered.

Reread the passages. The book describes the sentiment and the concerns in some segments of the population. The author does not in any way (in the selected passages in that article) refer to Trump as mentally ill or state that they (the author) have some sort of belief in or evidence of Trump's mental illness.

This is why reading comprehension should be given more attention in schools.

I thought it was a pretty succinct and accurate observation of some of the public's issues surrounding the 2016 election and Trump as a POTUS.

I didn't see any sort of statements of absolute fact or diagnoses being made.

The title of this thread is quite misleading.

I would like to be able to see the actual page in the actual book for myself, or at least have confirmation from a website that is not extremely conservatively slanted. Way too much "fake news" both sides of the aisle anymore, and both sides will believe whatever confirms biases. I don't trust it.

I found the book for sale but I'm not spending money to conform or disprove a CD post. Cannot find the text available for free anywhere.

It will be easy for me to check since my daughter will be taking this next year and Pearson is practically in my back yard.
